DEPArray Digital Sorting: Tracking Cancer through Single Cell Analysis in Liquid and Solid Biopsy
DEPArrayTM combines microfluidics with microelectroincs and microscopy to identify, isolate, sort, and recover both pure single, viable rare cells and 100% pure populations of cells from complex heterogeneous including: disaggregated FFPE tissue blocks, fixed cells; enriched cells; and samples with small cell loads, such as fine needle aspirates and tissue biopsies.
Pure, DEPArray sorted cell populations reveal quantitative genetic variants in tumor populations that would be unidentifiable when analyzing unsorted cell populations. Performing loss of heterozygosity (LoH), copy-number variation (CNV) analysis, and low-pass whole exome genome (WES) sequencing on pure populations of tumor cells not only simplifies downstream bioinformatics analysis but saves both money and time.
