Ambient and Cryo Electron Tomography: New Perspectives on Cellular Function
January 27, 2027 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Electron tomography (ET) encompasses a range of techniques that reveal cellular structures and their surrounding context at high resolution. Enabled by continued advances in sample preparation, streamlined imaging workflows, and data processing, these approaches provide increasingly detailed views of cells and tissues in near-native states.
In this session, we will explore both ambient and cryogenic electron tomography, highlighting several ET methods and the unique insights they can provide. We will discuss how the scientific community is applying these techniques to better understand cellular structure and function, while sharing relevant scientific examples that illustrate the capabilities and benefits of ET.
