Lunch and Learn: Bruker Spatial Biology

Integrated Single-Cell Functional Discovery with Beacon® — From Antibody Discovery to TCR Functional Screening
Join us for a focused seminar to learn how researchers can perform single-cell, real-time analysis of B and T cells to identify high-affinity antibodies, characterize TCR specificity, and accelerate candidate selection with direct functional readouts. The session will cover workflows for Antibody Discovery and T Cell Profiling applications; including cytotoxicity, cell surface and cytokine profiling, cell–cell interaction assays, and clone recovery for downstream sequencing and engineering.
The Beacon® platform enables researchers to sort and analyze tens of thousands of live cells with a variety of functional assays over time. Cell sorting is accomplished with light, preserving cell health and allowing for the creation of complex co-cultures. Analysis is done in single-cell microfluidic chambers, unlocking the ability to measure complex biology at single cell resolution. Assays are performed on live cells, and data is captured over-time to provide dynamic and longitudinal insights. Finally, single cells are collected post-assay for scale-up or downstream molecular analysis. These integrated capabilities have accelerated development of therapeutics, diagnostics, and reagents; and has identified novel biomarkers for complex biologics. Attendees will leave the seminar understanding:
- The Beacon Platform’s Technical Capabilities and Applications
- Antibody Discovery & BCR/TCR Repertoire Analysis – Sequencing B cells to develop antibodies against known and novel /unknown antigens in one day
- Cell-Cell Interaction Analysis – Characterizing T cell cytotoxicity, cytokine secretion, cell surface protein expression, and cell motility in live cell co-cultures to understand functionality of CARs/TCRs/BiTEs
- Functional Biology + Spatial Biology – A case study interrogating functional TCRs in a patient tumor and spatially mapping T cell receptors to understand cancer pathology
