CURRENT OPENINGS
Core Research Facility Technician III
– 50%: Perform single cell RNASeq using the 10X Genomics Chromium platform; process FFPE samples using the CytoAssist for slide-based Visium spatial analysis. Provide customer support for sample preparation.
Reviews literature as directed for the purposes of furthering understanding of the core technologies.

OPS NextGen Lab Technician
This position is in the NextGen DNA Sequencing Core of the Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research at the University of Florida. The person holding this position will work under the supervision of the NGS lab manager to perform general lab procedures and duties including maintenance tasks associated with the organization and upkeep of the NGS lab, reagent and supply inventory, sample receipt and storage, QC of samples submitted for sequencing and proper documentation of lab work. This position is a part-time position for 24 hours per week.

Bioinformatics Analyst I
– 50%: Pipeline Development & Optimization: Develop, maintain, and optimize bioinformatics pipelines for NGS data, including demultiplexing, quality control, alignment, and downstream analyses. Collaborate with the Cyber Infrastructure team to establish seamless, end-to-end data flow, integrating sequencing data with data management systems.
– 40%: Bioinformatics Analysis: Assist with bioinformatics analyses for a variety of applications, including RNA-Seq, single-cell RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, ATAC-Seq, spatial transcriptomics, genome assembly and annotation, variant calling, functional analysis, and metagenomics projects.
– 10%: Additional Duties: Support other bioinformatics-related tasks and departmental needs as required.
Systems Admin/Programmer II
This position has shared responsibility for the physical server hardware and the services they provide to ICBR research and administrative functions.
