Flow Cytometry Course
ICBR Cytometry Core will offer the Flow Cytometry Course on November 17th , 18th and 19th.
This course covers best practices and theory in flow cytometry, introduces online tools and resources, and includes two days of hands-on experimental sessions. Please note: this course does not replace training on individual flow cytometers, as each instrument has unique, detailed SOPs and software protocols.
Participation is strongly recommended for all users. A solid understanding of flow cytometry will improve experimental results and save both time and money in the long run. The cost of the course is $203.84 per participant (UF pricing).
The course will consist of:
-
- Recorded lectures and additional materials. These materials will be shared with the users as soon as we receive their request for the course. Please make sure to watch the recorded lectures (Flow Course Parts 1, 2, and 3)—they contain a large amount of valuable information not repeated elsewhere in the course and are essential for fully understanding to the subsequent sessions.
- Zoom lecture (Q&A session). This will be given on November 17th(Monday) at 10 am (~90 minutes duration)
Then, there will be two days of hands-on experiment sessions from 10 am to 12:30 pm (no afternoon sessions for this course).
-
- November 18th (Tuesday) at 10 am. First hands-on session: Basic flow cytometry experiment and introduction to spectral flow.
- November 19th (Wednesday) at 10 am. Second hands-on session: Advanced flow cytometry experiment (PBMC – 7 color panel).
In order to receive a certificate of completion for the Flow course, attendees must successfully complete all four steps (lectures, Zoom call, two hands-on sessions) listed above.
