Miltenyi Seminar: Generation of Quality Single Cell and Nuclei Suspensions from Tissues and Blood

February 12 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Tips & Tricks:
Generation of Quality Single Cell and Nuclei Suspensions from Tissues and Blood

Join Miltenyi Biotec and ICBR on February 12th to explore various methods for optimizing your
sample preparation protocols. Miltenyi Biotec’s techniques support a wide range of tissue types,
species, and blood products. If your research involves tissues or blood, with downstream
applications such as flow cytometry, flow-based cell sorting, magnetic cell sorting, or single cell
sequencing, you will find valuable tips and tricks from Miltenyi.

Miltenyi will demonstrate how to dissociate tissues into single-cell and single-nuclei suspensions
using the gentleMACS Octo with Heaters instrument, located in the ICBR Cytometry core. This will
be followed by a session on cleaning up those suspensions to remove debris and dead cells.
Additionally, Miltenyi will discuss MACS magnetic cell separation, an excellent method for gentle
cell isolation that complements flow cytometry and sorting.
