COVID Updates for UF | ICBR

Dear ICBR colleagues and customers,

The COVID19 Delta Variant is causing many of the concerns we all had in the early stages of the pandemic, and as a consequence, there is a recognition that we as a community can help mitigate the spread by also returning to some of the precautions we adopted last year. Because ICBR and UF Health share work spaces, we will adopt the same masking policy that is currently being implemented within Shands/UF Health. This practice means that everyone within ICBR public spaces must wear a mask or other covering of nose and mouth. Further, we are reducing the scope of in-person meetings within ICBR by limiting customer interactions to a single representative of a laboratory for work on self-service instruments, or visiting ICBR for consultation. If it is imperative that customers have more than one representative they are asked to please contact the relevant core director for guidance. All ICBR spaces are impacted by these procedures, including CGRC, MBI and MCS.

Please accept my personal thanks and sincere appreciation for your compliance; I know that it is profoundly disheartening to return to the constraints of 2020 operations, but I believe that it will help all of us navigate this new development in the safest, most productive manner possible.

Many thanks,

Anna-Lisa Paul, Ph.D.

Director, UF | ICBR
